busy busy busy. that's it. let's see where do i begin? eyespeak is going great. i built a website in one week for this guy who owns a restaurant in memphis. and this week i am building a website for an electric company here in town. i made some more things for stephen keith and now for my next trick i will be doing some web stuff for stephen keith and aaron johnson in pitts, PN.

now, the down part... not only did i get a ticket with a court date for running a school bus stop sign, but i now have to pay to get my truck touched up after some gypsy hit me from the side. both of these come to a total of somewhere around five big ones.

went and saw the dark knight last night for the 12:01am screening. Here is my review:

WARNING: MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!!!! DO NOT READ FURTHER IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE MOVIE!!!

STARS: 8 OUT OF 10. Overall, it will probably win the movie of the year award, best box office sales, and probably director of the year. Christian Bale did a wonderful job once again. any actor will tell you that it's hard to play 2 roles at once in the same movie and he nailed it. Morgan Freeman , Gary Oldman, and Michael Caine also once again did a wonderful job. Maggie Gyllenhaal was a better Rachel Dawes. Aaron Eckhart... wow, did a stupendous job at Harvey Dent. If you don't know already, he is Two Face and as I said with Christian Bale, he pulled off the double character thing. Now, Heath Ledger... Joker... I don't believe that there has ever been a better villain in all of the super hero movies. Heath Ledger will probably win an oscar. Something that hasn't been done since about the 1940's. and that wasn't a super hero movie.
But, lets not call this a super hero movie, sure there's plenty of batman and joker scenes, but think of it more as a mob vs. the good guys. it is over 2 1/2 hours and some might think that's a little too long and that it won't hold people's attention that long, but trust me, it does. there were a few shots that were a little toO... unbelievable (Batman's motorcycle scaling a wall), but the rest of the movie was wonderful. they should have either NOT had Two Face in there at all, or just introduced him at the end and carry him over into the 3erd movie. They hinted at it too soon (within the first 30 minutes) and brought him in too early or too late... by this I mean what i have already stated in that they should have not had him at all or introduced him at the end. The 2ed to the last scene with two face... was left open to believe or not to believe that he would be back or not. And the last scene was amazing. It left it wide open for anything they want to do with the third one.
so, who knows what's gonna happen in the third? will two face be back? or will a new villain be introduced? All in all, 8 out of 10 stars, a must see movie for any batman fan, and an incredible action movie for the average movie goer.

It's official! I have entered the work force full time as of Monday for the Cavenaugh Auto Group. A whole 8 months BEFORE I graduate in December. I would say that's quite an accomplishment. Here's my office. I am running a G5 (that needs more RAM, but that's coming) with dual monitors with Adobe Creative Suite 3 and Apple Final Cut Studio.

Tonight I got on imdb and they have a section for Independent Movies and it's neat to sometimes go there because they sometimes have some really awesome movies coming out. Well, I didn't really see any, however I scrolled down to the bottom of the page and there was a section for up and coming film festivals and one of them was the Little Rock Film Festival! I was shocked! So I clicked on it and it led me to the LRFF website and come to find out, it starts today! And goes through Sunday. Well, the opening movie that they're showing tonight is a new movie called "War Eagle Arkansas." It's about the Producer Vincent Insalaco's son and his best friend. His son has a speech impediment, and to the best of my knowledge, is popular in school. His best friend has Cerebral Palsy.

So, it was filmed in Eureka Springs and a staff and crew of Arkansans. The article can be found here. Well, there's a place to view its trailer and so I clicked on it but the trailer didn't play. So, I Googled it. After looking at Googles results I found a blog that had the trailer (here). I looked at this person's friend list and the first two were "Arkansas Film Festival" and "Arkansas Online Movies." So I naturally thought this guy was from the area. Curiosity led me to one of his friends called "Colter."

Come to find out, Colter is Colter McCorkindale. Now...I know what your thinking, "so what?" "Who is Colter McCorkindale?" Well...I'll tell you. Colter McCorkindale is from my girlfriend's hometown of Harrison, Arkansas (which she has heard of him) and is now [related to] the film business. From his first blog I gathered that he just got back from Hollywood visiting some friends and one of his friends was house sitting the house of Hyde from "That 70's Show" AND the house use to belong to CHUCK BERRY!..........Just read PLEASE!!!

So anyways...he is now in my friends list, and if you don't have anything else going on this weekend, I suggest you head to Little Rock to the Little Rock Film Fest!

Well, as of today, I turn 21. So I went out and bought me a truck. That's right, I am no longer the "Blue Ranger," but I am now the "Silver Explorer who hunts birds for Sport," a.k.a. I got a Silver Explorer/Sport Track. It's sweet, and has a knack for killing birds. I've had it for a week and I've already killed at least 4 small birds and Sunday my family and I were on our way to see my sister's family and we saw at least 20 buzzards and I almost hit at least 10 of 'em. NOT LYING OR EMBELLISHING!

Well, I just got through writing my 12 page Undergraduate Scholar's Day Paper and I chose the topic of Viral Marketing and its Strategies: With A Closer Look at The Dark Knight. Pretty interesting subject. Broken down, viral marketing, refers to a system of marketing through word-of-mouth advertising which is done these days through the Internet. It's so called viral because of the way it spreads. The new Batman movie: The Dark Knight has only spent 11% of their marketing budget on print advertising. The rest is 2 official trailers, one 5 minute short film, and the biggest part of it is on viral marketing and an ARG (Alternate Reality Game). Basically website after website has been published leading clues to different websites, which leads to different clues which leads to different websites...you catch my drift. What's interesting are these ARGs. Two days (April 1st, 2008) ago a number of people went to different places around the world and played a scavenger hunt. Clue after clue led them to these different places where they found a green and purple bowling ball with the name of a clown on it. (One of Joker's clowns) They also received a cell phone and card with a number on it. Once they called the number......the list goes on of clues! You can read about it here. Which is one part of the timeline which can be found here. Oh, and another thing, Gotham City is fictional right? Guess again...It's fictional in the sense that you can't touch it. But it's online. Yeah, it's here. Let's see... Need a cab? Or how about the police department? Or what about a security company? The point is the entire city is online. It's crazy! Yes, I tried following the game but it takes people with a lot more time on their hands to that. Things change in the game every minute. Right now, as you read this people are trying to hack into a surveillance camera on the game.

Well, it has been awhile. I apologize. For Spring Break last week, Connie and I went to New Orleans with Central Baptist Church to work with the Arkansas Baptist Builders. (Kinda like the Mission Builders for all you Missionary Baptist folks out there) We had a great time hanging sheet rock for people who lost their home in Hurricane Katrina. (That's right, people are still needing work to be done.)

New Orleans is known for some weird people, blues, Mardi Gra, and some French Architecture. These are some photo's that I took then photoshopped.

I recently did some research over one of the songs we sang at Passion. Chris Tomlin sang it: entitled "God of This City." And it is the debut title of the latest Passion CD released February...(not sure of the date, but it's already out). Anyways, listen to this.

A group/band from Ireland, Bluetree, went on a mission trip to Patia, Thialand. 80% of the countries economic stability comes from this one city. It's main income: Prostitution and Child Trafficking. Both of which are illegal in the country, but are overlooked due to how much money it brings into the country. So this band, Bluetree, checked at a local brothel/bar to see if they could play some music. They were allowed to on one exception: that the band's friends all buy Coke-a-Cola at the bar...constantly. So they did.

The band started with a couple of cover songs and then slowly moved into a worshipful mood. Right there in the midst of the devils work are these long lost boys worshiping God. They started playing a tune and made up words as they went and out came one of the most moving worship songs: "God of This City."

"For greater things are yet to come,

All proceeds go to help the mission in Thialand

What a weekend! In one word I could describe it as WOW! Louie Giglio is an amazing teacher. Isaiah 26:8 says "Yes Lord,..." and we could even stop right there. God tells us to do things all the time, he is the creator of the universe and all we have to say is "Yes Lord." The verse goes on to say "Yes Lord, as your judgements unfold, we wait for You." Who are we to question God? Isaiah says that even as His judgments come, we are waiting to receive instructions. So we are living in 268 generation as we should be. (268 = Isaiah 26:8)

After waiting in line outside the Nokia Theater for 2 hours in the cold rain I am sick. However, it was worth it. We sat about 10 rows from the stage and got to see David Crowder, Chris Tomlin, Kristian Stanfill, Louie Giglio, and Fancis Chan. All of which were equally amazing. Crowder was as always mind blowing, Tomlin had 2 new songs that are... spectacular: "God of this City" and "Sing, Sing, Sing." I am super pumpt* to hear Stanfill agian in April at AYC and while Mr.Chan was no Giglio, he had some awsome truths.

I am ready to go back to ASU and not be scared of what people might think of me as I share the Good News to people. My main concern is other Christians. Let's not try to not separate ourselves into individual communities, but work as a team. Remember, we are all in this together!
